The SAE Institute Chicago "January Project" is a 3 week off the grid, unconventional project, where students create tracks, help outside artists and reach out for materials to some of our other campuses around the world. All the while, this helps many global creative causes, gains artistic exposure while creating awareness. The final package includes a vinyl, a speaker in a tin can and more.
In January students & staff at SAE Institute Chicago compiled a CD featuring student and other artist tracks from Chicago, NYC, Nashville, London, Barcelona and Capetown South Africa SAE Institute campuses. Their mission was simple; create a cohesive and collaborative project involving community, music and the arts on not only a local, but a global level. Students reached out to various schools and non profit charities to spread the power and passion on musical and collaborations within the community. Such charities and organizations involved were Rescue Warriors, Austin Special Chicago, Kids Fight Cancer, Donda's House, Greater Chicago Food Depository, Good Art, Rock for Kids and Street Level Youth Media.
